I am pleased to be instructing a workshop for the Art Gallery of Regina once again. This time the workshop is held in conjunction with my exhibit “A Personal Light”of a similar nature at the gallery’s Outside the Box exhibit space.
Adding Metallic Leaf & Elements to Your Paintings with Nikki Jacquin

Artists have used metallic leaf to add a mystic quality to their work for a centuries. In this workshop, you will learn various techniques to add the reflective quality of metallic to your acrylic paintings, and the process of applying metallic leaf to a painting support. Students will be provided with a 12 x 16 pre-gessoed hardboard and will need to bring one completed unvarnished acrylic painting to which you will apply metallic leaf. Nikki is an experienced instructor, known for her plein air workshops as well as her portrait work. She will be exhibiting her work with copper in Outside the Box at the AGR, January 4th -March 25th, featuring paintings of Cypress Hills on copper supports done during a Cypress Hills Art in the Park residency.
